Los Angeles Photowalk, Sponsored by Bay Photo, evening of Jan 27!
You are all welcome to meet me at 4 PM on at the San Clemente pier! We will have a great photowalk by way of sunset, which is close to 5:20 PM. All skill levels, from beginner to master are welcome. A photowalk is just a laid-back occasion exactly where we stroll around, consider pictures, and examine the art of lifestyle and whatnot… I was contemplating giving a talk that evening as properly, but we don’t have a close by venue in thoughts. Perhaps a single of you has an thought for this…

A large thanks to Bay Photo, who is sponsoring the event. I am going to be looking deeply into their metal prints extremely quickly and give you a complete report.

If you want to come, please leave a comment at www.stuckincustoms.com/2010/01/23/los-angeles-go to-photo…

Hans Zimmer, we Need to Meet!
Has any person examine Atlas Shrugged and don’t forget the great composer therein named Richard Halley? A single of the heroes of the guide mysteriously follows him close to the globe… I envision this dream-state with Hans Zimmer. In truth, I have a most amazing project in mind that would be exclusive and correct up his alley.

I saw this Hans Zimmer Video Interview about his new Sherlock Holmes soundtrack. It was very intriguing to hear him speak about this stuff… I have all of his music starred and in special playlists, depending on my mood… In reality, I produced a Hanz Zimmer iTunes iMix there on the right for you of some of my favorites. On occasion, I meet a fellow photographer that also loves Hans, and we have an immediate connection that is challenging to describe.

Search at Zimmer’s recording studio (Thanks @Tatorandtots for the hyperlink). Incredible. Of program, I could consider a considerably far better photo of it… but that is neither here nor there. My photography studio (only on paper for my upcoming residence in New Zealand) will make a amazing try to be a small bit cooler, only insofar as I want a window that looks at a stunning landscape (which can be closed for absolute darkness whilst the publish-processing is in full swing).

See my other mixes on Trey’s Music List – Coming up quickly – Ambient New Age, World Music, and other sudden things…

Speaking at Google HQ, Stanford, and errrrr – some thing in the &quotCupertino area&quot
The topic is &quotThe Unpredicted Art and Science of HDR Photography&quot.

Even though I can’t examine the latter, I can describe the talks I have at the Google HQ and Stanford. If you know an individual at either institution, perhaps they can get you in. These are all closed, private occasions, but if you have some very good Silicon Valley contacts, possibly you can make it come about. The presentation will be fairly different than a single might expect… I think it may possibly prompt everybody to see the world from a somewhat various point of view – I consider we are finally obtaining to a spot where art and science can come back with each other in a normal way.

The speak at Google will be recorded in Higher Def and place on YouTube for the you all to see after every thing gets edited with each other.
Daily Photo – California in the Morning
I woke up early a single morning in the hotel to drive down to the seaside in San Luis Obispo to catch the sunrise. It is genuinely gorgeous and peaceful there. I am not really a morning man or woman — this a lot really should be identified… more of a evening-owl. But, maybe if I lived in California I may possibly in fact wake up early to catch the light of these sunrises.

I know I get many requests to be my assistant — but you never realize how bad it would be… I’d make you do factors like wake up even before me, get me coffee, warm up the auto, and all other sorts of factors that you’d probably resent right after a even though… Men and women look to get over-enthusiastic about becoming my assistant, so I consider to tell them undesirable items like this to dissuade them!

And under is a shot from a hotel I stayed in final time I was in LA… they have this cool outdoors firepit. I need to have more firepits in my existence….

    Man Trey,

If you’re missing Shasta, you’re missing the "northern" in "Northern CA". IF you are planning anything somewhat public for that part of the country, tweet it and I will pass it on to everyone.

I’m bothered by the dark ghosting at the hillside and on the waves in the foreground.

This is a common Photomatrix result. I’ve been trying to correct mine in photoshop and hope to post a tutorial here soon. It’s nearly unavoidable if you set your Strength more than 80%.. IMHO … :)
